If you ask folk-pop artist Sally Dige, (pronounced Dee-ah) forging a music career path is like setting up a game of Dominos. Once you take the time to arrange the game pieces, you will hopefully get to watch a cascade of successes come your way, one after the other. The key is to have the drive to keep going, while also creating a solid strategy. Part of that is using the right tools, while building a tight-knit community of collaborators to help build and sustain momentum over the long term.
The Berlin-based, Danish-Canadian singer/songwriter, musician, visual artist and filmmaker has been doing this for a while and has some pretty darn cool things to show for it! Dige wears many artistic hats, both figuratively and literally – fabulous headwear is a theme in her videos. See this amazing golden halo crown in the self-directed video for “I Will Be The Sun For You” or sunny vintage wide-brim in current single “You”.
Dige has been accumulating big streams, downloads and acclaim for “You” which was distributed to tastemakers through Play MPE and can of course be accessed in Player here. She recently spoke with David G. about her latest release, what’s coming up next, and about all of the happenings that have been a part of her own domino effect.
We are honoured to be a piece of Dige’s success story so far! If you want to learn more about Play MPE and what global music promotion distribution can do for you, check out this video for Journey of a Song.
*If you are a tastemaker with a Player account and don’t currently have access to “You”, feel free to reach out and request it.
